LBF Chaplains

One of the unique aspects of LCPN is our involvement with the Military. The Liberty Baptist Fellowship (LBF) is the Chaplain endorsing arm of LCPN. When you partner with LCPN, you are not only helping to plant churches, but also helping us to train, endorse and send out Military, Corporate, Hospital, and Prison Chaplains all over the world.
Military chaplains minister to the needs of service members and their families. They lead regular worship services in chapels on military installations on land and sea all over the world. Chaplains also have many opportunities to counsel individuals and families on various issues. A Chaplain also makes many on-site visitations or ministry of presence calls such as on flight lines, in motor pools, aboard ships and in field positions.
LBF Chaplaincy History
In 1982, LBF was approached by graduates of the seminary who had a desire to be chaplains, and needed to be endorsed by a denomination or fellowship of churches. Soon thereafter, LBF applied to the Armed Services Chaplains Board and was approved to be an official endorsing agency. Dr. Elmer Towns became LBF’s first endorsing agent, with currently over 100 chaplains who have been endorsed through LBF. Dr. Charlie Davidson, who recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Air Force chaplaincy, is its current endorser.
